By far the most common cause of thisB1615code is from worn or defective transmission shifter components. Other causes may include a defective range sensor, open, shorted, corroded, or otherwise damaged wiring and/or electrical connectors.
If the numbers are incorrectly entered, this type of code will be the result
If the resistance level does not decrease with heat and increase as it cools, replace the sensor. If everything has checked out thus far, turn the key to the "ON" position and test for the presence of a voltage (and a ground signal) at the exhaust gas temperature/pressure (or heated oxygen) sensor electrical connector
A scanner (or code reader) and a digital volt/ohmmeter will be required to successfully diagnose this code. Virtually every vehicle (with an automatic transmission) produced since the mid-eighties is equipped with some type of computer controlled automatic transmission system
If the fuel shutoff switch and all system circuitry checks out, suspect a defective PCM (or other related controller)

Broken engine mountings can cause banging and graunching noises. There are two main types of mounting those centrally placed close to the bottom of the block and those higher up the block which mount on to the inner wings or chassis members. B1615 OBD2 reports a sensor fault, replacement of the sensor is unlikely to resolve the underlying problem. The fault is most likely to be caused by the systems that the sensor is monitoring, but might even be caused by the wiring to the sensor itself.
How to turn off B1615 check engine light ?
