Possible Cause

The most likely cause of C0570 code being stored is a defective automatic transmission cooler control valve or valve position sensor. Other causes may include corroded, open, or shorted wiring or connectors, a loose control module ground strap, or broken ground wire.

Common Symptoms

  1. The purpose of this valve is to allow the transmission to reach normal operating temperature more rapidly
  2. Engine and transmission ground cables, straps, and wires are sometimes left dangling after repairs are performed
  3. Many vehicle applications utilize an electronically controlled valve in the automatic transmission cooler lines to regulate the flow of fluid to the cooler itself

C0570 Troubleshooting

White smoke means that the fuel that is being injected into the combustion chamber is not being burned properly. The common causes that produce white smoke range from something as simple as low engine compression or water in the fuel to the fuel pump timing being thrown off because something is starving the fuel from getting to the pump in the manner necessary for the pump to time and work correctly. C0570 the main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit.

How to turn off C0570 check engine light ?

There are two ways to turn off the check engine light:

A repair technician can do so once repairs have been made.
The OBD II can automatically turn it off when it fails to detect the problem after several diagnostic cycles.
