Possible Cause

B3453 leads to an unsuccessful repair. Engine misfire codes, lean exhaust codes, fuel injector codes, and virtually any other drivability or transmission code that is accompanied by a controller communication code can potentially be a pitfall for misdiagnosis.

Common Symptoms

  1. Look for loose or corroded electrical connectors that may increase circuit resistance and cause these types of codes to be stored. Obtain a CAN bus system wiring diagram and/or pin out value chart, and then use the digital volt ohmmeter to test continuity between individual controller connectors
  2. If the resistance level does not decrease with heat and increase as it cools, replace the sensor. If everything has checked out thus far, turn the key to the "ON" position and test for the presence of a voltage (and a ground signal) at the exhaust gas temperature/pressure (or heated oxygen) sensor electrical connector
  3. The exhaust gas temperature sensor is used in diesel engines, gasoline burning engines, and even turbocharged engines
  4. If the fuel shutoff switch and all system circuitry checks out, suspect a defective PCM (or other related controller)

When you put your foot down on the brakes you expect your car to quietly slow down and come to a stop. The power your foot applies on the brake pedal is assisted by hydraulic pressure. Your foot's force engages a piston and caliper with brake pads attached (bonded abrasive and heat resistance metal or ceramic) to put pressure on the rotor. B3453 OBD 2 code on vehicles with electronically controlled automatic transmissions, the 3-4 shift solenoid is responsible for actuating the hydraulic circuits to activate clutches or bands that change gears inside the automatic transmission.

How to turn off B3453 check engine light ?

There are two ways to turn off the check engine light:

A repair technician can do so once repairs have been made.
The OBD II can automatically turn it off when it fails to detect the problem after several diagnostic cycles.
