Trouble In Jaguar R P0347 Possible Cause

Common causes of Jaguar R P0347 include a faulty electronic pressure control solenoid, hydraulic blockages inside the internal transmission fluid passages, mechanical internal transmission failures, low transmission fluid, dirty or contaminated transmission fluid, a faulty PCM or transmission control module.

Common Symptoms For Jaguar R P0347

  1. Turbocharged applications may place the exhaust gas temperature sensor in the exhaust input pipe, near the turbocharger
  2. Test the wiring and connectors at the fuel shutoff valve to make sure that voltage and ground readings are near battery voltage
  3. The PCM will read the sensor resistance and pass it
  4. The sensor is of the electro magnetic design and uses a reluctor ring (or a specialized set of splines) on the input shaft as reference points

Jaguar R P0347 Troubleshooting

Broken engine mountings can cause banging and graunching noises. There are two main types of mounting those centrally placed close to the bottom of the block and those higher up the block which mount on to the inner wings or chassis members. Jaguar R P0347 OBD2 specifically refers to the camshaft (cam) timing. In this case, if the cam timing is over-retarded, the engine light will be illluminated and the code will be set.

There are two ways to turn off the check engine light:

A repair technician can do so once repairs have been made.
The OBD II can automatically turn it off when it fails to detect the problem after several diagnostic cycles.
